This train bridge was built by the Central Railroad of New Jersey some time ago. The bridge is on a small, half-mile spur line connecting the CNJ main line along the river to the nearby Delaware and Hudson main line.
This bridge is in acceptable condition. Only the inner frog rails remain, and the wooden ties appear to be significantly rotten. The metal structure and concrete supports are in good condition.

View of [[ Train Bridge 5589 ]] from the side. Behind us is the CNJ main line. The spur leading to the D&H main line curves sharply left at the end of the bridge.

The deck on [[ Train Bridge 5589 ]]. As seen, only the inner frog rails remain. The wood is in poor condition; I had to leap across the metal supports along the middle.

This photo better showcases the condition of [[ Train Bridge 5589 ]], and better shows the metal supports I had to leap across. To the right, the Lackawanna River can be seen below.
