The Alford Station was built by the in 1915, after the first Alford Station was burnt down in 1911. Next to the station is a concrete signal tower, which was finished one year before the main station in 1914, and still stands as of December 2020. Down the bank and bordering the reservoir is a brick pump house for supplying water to steam locomotives.

The station used to have 3 tracks, but now only one remains as the Sunbury Line. The station building was demolished in June 2020.

I managed to recover a roof tile from the rubble, view it at: [[ Alford Station Roof Tile ]].
